Final larger scale project

We made a woven tapestry. The fabrics we chose mimicked the feeling of the chinchilla (soft scarf) and the habitat of the sea turtle (deep blue). We chose to hang it on sticks to get an organic feel of nature. Through the process I learnt that it is hard to weave silky fabrics, therefore I think it was the right decision to knot some of the blue strings together in order for the colourful fabrics to shine through, however even then it was tricky to weave the fabric. I think that if we had made the piece smaller or used a different type of fabric it may have been easier.
